Dr. Aaron Vickers, DDS, MS
Dr. Vickers is passionate about oral surgery and his patients. As a sign of his commitment, he chose to spend two extra years obtaining his medical degree (MD) at the prestigious oral and maxillofacial surgery training program at the University of Louisville, where he was mentored by leading oral surgeons in his specialty. He especially has a particular interest in dental implants and bone grafting with an emphasis on minimally invasive therapies that shorten the course of treatment so that patients can replace missing or damaged teeth as quickly and comfortably as possible.
When treating patients, Dr. Vickers feels that his background as a physician, as well as a dentist, gives him a unique perspective. He enjoys passing his education and knowledge onto his patients, and in doing so has developed a knack for putting patients at ease when discussing their oral surgical needs.
In his free time, Dr. Vickers is a big-time college sports fan, and especially enjoys cheering for his undergraduate alma mater the University of Tennessee. He and his wife Ashley have four children. At Texas Center for Oral Surgery and Dental Implants, both the patients and the staff are family.
Dr. Tamir Anver, DDS, MD
Dr. Anver has always been passionate about putting his patients at ease and making sure they are comfortable throughout their oral surgery experience. To ensure the highest quality of care for his patients, Dr. Anver obtained both his dental degree (DDS) and medical degree (MD) in oral surgery. He completed his residency at the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received training from world-renown faculty in all aspects of the profession.
His clinical interests include both office-based and hospital-based procedures such as dental extractions, wisdom tooth removal, IV anesthesia, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), TMJ surgery, facial trauma repair, and the management of pathology of the oral cavity.
Although he was born in Washington DC, he moved to Texas when he was two years old and lived there for 25 years before completing his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in Alabama. He is an avid NFL football and NBA basketball fan but, unfortunately, cheers for the wrong teams in both sports. In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife Hailey and their two children, experiencing new cultures, trying new foods, and playing all kinds of sports.
Dr. Anver treats both his patients and his staff like family, and he looks forward to taking care of all your oral surgery needs!
